Leah Herman - Parent & child
Leah's longtime passion for working with children led her to explore many approaches to alternative education before she discovered Waldorf and its reverence for the development of the whole human being. The deep resonance she felt with this approach led her to complete the Teacher Education program at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Toronto and then to work as class teacher at Trillium Waldorf School in Guelph.
It was her overflowing love of her students at Trillium that showed Leah that she was ready to become a mother, and so it is that now, 6 years later, along with her partner and two young children, she is living in the Comox Valley, mothering, growing food, delighting in the natural world, and oftentimes singing. Leah's background in Waldorf education has a deep and daily influence on her home life, and she is delighted to share with others the principles and practices that have been so rich and rewarding for her and her family. |
