Sarah Nolin - Special Education Resource Teacher

Picture
Sarah is Saltwater School’s Curative Education Resource Teacher. She teaches small group classes and main lessons, provides classroom support and one-on-one learning.   Working hand in hand with classroom teachers and parents, Sarah aims to support our students in a rich and empowering way.
Sarah was raised by a homesteading family in the Comox Valley. She was surrounded by competent, capable and inspiring people working with their hands and bringing life and warmth to others. Sarah graduated from the University of Victoria with a BA in BC History and Political Science, followed by a Bachelor of Education. Sarah followed her husband to Northern Vancouver Island and immediately set to work at a tiny First Nations Band School.   For several years, Sarah taught grades 3-7 in a small room overlooking the ocean. Sarah then moved on to the public school teaching various primary grades in Port McNeil, becoming a beloved and proficient teacher.
2012 brought a move back to the Comox Valley. Sarah has enjoyed re-kindling her love of the Valley and seeing old adventures through her children’s eyes.
Sarah is an avid maker of all things culinary, a knitter, sewer and gardener.
